OK, really like that ASUS monitor, plus, hate the thought of giving any money to Dell. All good , now I have to give some money to New Egg..........

The Dell is a nice monitor. It's an IPS though, so it will cost more for than the typical TN panels out there.

What resources do you recommend for putting all these parts together and working with the Bios settings to get ready for the OS install?

Also, I guess I need a WiFi card, Bluetooth card, and are there any other cards and such I need to consider. What do the wireless peripherals use to communicate with the comp. such as a wireless printer, keyboard and mouse?

Just to get you started:
neweggTV guide: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_56kyib-Ls&feature=relmfu
easy Tom's Hardware guide http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/build-your-own-pc,2601-10.html
exhaustive wiki article http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/How_To_Assemble_A_Desktop_PC/Assembly

Apart from guides, you can get most of it done by reading instructions from the product manuals and being careful and using your head.

As for BIOS you should check that your temperatures are as expected, and that your memory is set to its correct speed and that your connected devices are recognised properly. You can also set boot priority to your DVD so that it'll boot to the windows installation disk automatically, just make sure you reset the boot priority to your SSD after the installation is done.

Wireless printers usually work via bluetooth AFAIK. Wireless mice and keyboards can also communicate with the PC via bluetooth but usually they come with a USB receiver. I would recommend sticking to wired keyboard and mouse though, it's a desktop PC. Wireless peripherals are more useful for HTPC's, laptops and tablets.

The guides :colbert: the lehtv :colbert: suggested are good. The mobo manual should also have a short guide on how to plug everything in.

As for any wireless networking cards, the answer is "it depends". Wireless printers can be Bluetooth or Wifi. Wireless keyboards or mice can be Bluetooth or can come with their own dongles. Internet access can be through a wire or via Wifi.

One thing to keep in mind is that Bluetooth adapters generally aren't PCI cards, but are instead USB devices. Wifi adapters can be PCI cards or USB.

Thanks, great advice. I have read that it may be best not to install pci cards such as video or sound cards and such till after the OS install in order to take advantage of the plug and play feature of the OS. What do you all think. I do have a video and sound care as well as probably a bluetooth. Not sure about the necessity of a wifi card as I plan to use a LAN cable for internet even though I installed wireless in the Ponderosa. Those sites you linked me to are very good and along with the manual will get me through the build, THANKS..........

Well, you will have to have some sort of GPU in the system to get it to install. The other things can wait until after you've installed the OS, but I've never had a problem with having them plugged in from the get-go.

Then that is what I'll do, sounds simpler to get it all installed in the beginning since all these components are suppose to be compatible, should be no prob. unless I screw up somewhere.......... THANKS
