Let me say this to the brothers and sisters who listened and watched that speech. We may not like the vessel that said what he said, but I ask us to truly examine what he said, because it is a fact that for 54 years, we have been voting for the Democratic party like no other race in America. And they have not given us the same loyalty and love that we have given them. We as black people have to reexamine the relationship — where we are being pimped like prostitutes, and they’re the big pimps pimping us politically, promising us everything and we get nothing in return.

We gotta step back now as black people and say, we’ve gotta look at all the parties and vote our best interests.

Wow, even if you were to accept this quote as being accurate, why would you vote for a party that is openly hostile towards you and your interests versus one that simply takes you for granted? In a two-party system, that is the effective result.

You might want to do a little research on the guy before hitching your wagon.

First he's the local Houston chapter leader, not the overall leader of the movement as your OP seems to imply by omission. Your OP is highly misleading and should be edited. Second he's a notorious conman seeking money to support causes he gives little attention to after getting his cash up front. Third this is a man who blamed an 11 year old victim of a gang rape for not doing enough. He was also kicked out of the Nation of Islam for his advocacy to open violence.

Regardless of what republicans or conservatives think or do, the Democrat party is becoming the party of "say anything, but do little or nothing" just as long the other guy (republicans/conservatives) are worse.

Some call it exploitation while others call it pragmatism, but as long as the intended votes keep coming in nothing will change.

Just ask the "anti-free trade" unions how their consistent voting for the Democratic party has worked out for them, because the only other choice they are told is the union hating other guy.

I'm curious if you know how our government works? If you do then can you explain to me what you think the Democrat party should be doing at the federal level?


If you want to complain about the Democrats about anything it should be their failure to have a fifty state strategy for taking back the house.

So he's still a Democrat is what you're saying. Evidently one who has recognized the decades of exploitation by Democrats. You do realize that with some minor changes in wording you're describing Hillary Clinton in those sentences, right?

Anyone paying attention can see what's happening to the Dem Party. Despite the interference being run by the media the party is being called out for what they truly are. It's been a long time coming. The jig, is almost up and I for one am loving it. But don't misunderstand, they aren't going away just as the Rep Party isn't going away. It's that people are coming to the realization that the Dem's are a bunch of rotten bastards looking out for themselves exploiting people in the process. They're not taking the high road they like their supporters to believe they are.

Expecting a big wave? That's funny. You really see African Americans supporting a party and a nominee aligned with white supremacists?

But people should really stop posting nonsense like this. Whatever you think of what the Democrats have done (and I agree they can take African Americans for granted), there is no way people are going to vote for a party that doesn't believe in their fundamental right of equality; a party that aligns itself heavily with racists.

African Americans have a ways to go, but I think people forget how far we've come. 60 years ago Brown v. Board was needed (against a lot of Southern state opposition) to integrate schools. The people who keep asking what the Democratic party has done for African Americans are people who are honestly ignorant of history.

Won't happen. The operant conditioning has been going on for 50+ years and using a variable ratio reinforcement like Democrats do ensures that blacks will continue pressing that bar for food pellets until they die of exhaustion hoping the Dems will give them another treat.

Nothing new in this thread. Democrats exploiting minorities to gain votes is nothing new. LBJ stated the goal of the civil rights act and the democrat agenda. Why do people still make a big deal out of facts? Democrats pander to minorities for their votes, nothing more.
