Kind of funny McCain who has 7 houses understands the average joe more than Obama. This swing in the polls is all about Obama and his party refusing to drill for more oil and pissing off the working class. If Obama really was in touch with the average joe he would be leading the fight to get the off shore bans lifted to try and get the price of gas down. Instead Obama and his elitist tree hugger friends are blocking any new drilling in hopes of getting gas prices to 10 dollars a gallon. That way he can "wean" the evil working class off of oil at the price of bankrupting them.
You mean the same McCain who was against offshore drilling until gas prices rose and it became politically advantageous to be for it? Lifting the ban isn't going to drop prices anytime soon. The whole drilling issue is pure political pandering.
Things change and 4 dollar a gallon gas changes the game. Even a rich person like McCain can see how destructive high gas prices are. It is not just felt at the pump but felt at the grocery store. I do love that you are willing to spout out the pelosi talking points to try and fight drilling. What next you going to say it will take 10 years to get any oil when a 3rd world country like brazil will get ultra deep water oil in less than 3 years.
Did you ever read about any of the studies that show that any drilling would not help with the current gas price inflation or the price of oil for ~7 years?
I love that you are buying into the "quick fix" talking points being presented by the lobbyists of Exxon, Shell, BP, etc without actually realizing that you are being played like a fiddle. Or maybe your Brazil information is from a valid, irrefutable source like Jerome Corsi and World Net Daily or a plethora of oil and gas insider sources?
Obama is correct not to support something that will not help at all right now and will do more damage to the earth when/if it becomes a necessity. Ohh, bad Obama not helping to perpetuate the destruction of the planet...bad, bad Obama.
