Nice I was waiting for the class warfare by Obama. Now I will wait for the ads that will give hints that if you vote for McCain you are a racist. Good to see Obama on the defensive and desperate means McCain is really making head way in this race.

Hey genius, the point of the ad isn't a memory test for McCain, it was exactly what you inadvertantly posted. McCain is trying to paint Obama as not being like Mr. and Mrs. Average American. If you have so many houses that you can't even remember that probably means you aren't exactly the average American either.

Anyways, Obama has been under steady attack by some pretty dishonest ads. I'm glad he's hitting back.
That's a waste of money then. I don't think McCain has been pretending to be Average Joe, so I don't see how it will affect him.

psst.... his Kool-Aid drinkers dont know that

McCain camp responds in just the way I thought they would.

Does a guy who made more than $4 million last year, just got back from vacation on a private beach in Hawaii and bought his own million-dollar mansion with the help of a convicted felon really want to get into a debate about houses? Does a guy who worries about the price of arugula and thinks regular people ?cling? to guns and religion in the face of economic hardship really want to have a debate about who?s in touch with regular Americans?

The reality is that Barack Obama?s plans to raise taxes and opposition to producing more energy here at home as gas prices skyrocket show he?s completely out of touch with the concerns of average Americans. ?McCain spokesman Brian Rogers

you are right. Instead he is pretending to be the Maverick he used to be back in 2000 when people actually supported him as a candidate.

Now they support him because they have no choice.

The "Original Maverick"

I'd rather someone who routinely lives in several different places during the year to forget how many houses he has (particularly if you're married to a moneybags) than someone that forgets how many states there are. Really, we're trying to go this petty now.

Oh, that's rich (no pun intended), coming from you.

Exactly. He dropped the 'punished with a baby' line in another thread. Just a bitter Hillary supporter.

 The class warfare was started by McCain painting Obama an elitist. Responding to attack ads is not going on the defensive. Please try and pay attention.

Kind of funny McCain who has 7 houses understands the average joe more than Obama. This swing in the polls is all about Obama and his party refusing to drill for more oil and pissing off the working class. If Obama really was in touch with the average joe he would be leading the fight to get the off shore bans lifted to try and get the price of gas down. Instead Obama and his elitist tree hugger friends are blocking any new drilling in hopes of getting gas prices to 10 dollars a gallon. That way he can "wean" the evil working class off of oil at the price of bankrupting them.

Good luck with that.

You McCain people are the saddest lot I've ever encountered, worse even that the Bushites.

You don't even like McCain, you just hate Obama and when asked for reason you spout off nonsense that isn't even true.

I guess Rush is getting through to you:

"LIMBAUGH: It?s ? you know, it?s just ? it?s just we can?t hit the girl. I don?t care how far feminism?s saying, you can?t hit the girl, and you can?t ? you can?t criticize the little black man-child. You just can?t do it, ?cause it?s just not right. It?s not fair. He?s such a victim."

I pray he makes an ad like that. I also pray that he makes an ad about Obama drug use as a young adult. Then we can put on tv McCain's propaganda piece from Vietnam telling us how he feels about America.

You mean the same McCain who was against offshore drilling until gas prices rose and it became politically advantageous to be for it? Lifting the ban isn't going to drop prices anytime soon. The whole drilling issue is pure political pandering.

I don't think he will. You think he will because you have a simplistic view of him/blacks but that just makes you ignorant.

"How many houses will Obama have by the time he's McCain's age?"

My guess is 10+.

Things change and 4 dollar a gallon gas changes the game. Even a rich person like McCain can see how destructive high gas prices are. It is not just felt at the pump but felt at the grocery store. I do love that you are willing to spout out the pelosi talking points to try and fight drilling. What next you going to say it will take 10 years to get any oil when a 3rd world country like brazil will get ultra deep water oil in less than 3 years.

Yeah, there wasn't any $30 something drop after the executive ban was lifted and the repubs stumping hard for immediate drilling.

Show me where I said I support Pelosi. Good luck on that.

Care to provide a link from a respected source saying we'd be getting oil in 3 years? Everything I read says 5-10 and up to 20 to get to full production.

What's happening now reminds me a lot of what I read about Bush vs. Clinton in '92. As soon as Clinton took his foot off the gas, Bush started to catch back up. However, it's all a matter of timing. No doubt Senator Obama will put that massive warchest to good use.

How can you compare Obama to Clinton....
The only weapon Oblahblah has is playing victim

They're quite the same, really. Both started as dark horse candidates and turned out winning performances. Both exhibited this mid-campaign drop in the polls as their Republican opponents went on the offensive. The one thing Senator Obama seems to have a mastery of is timing and placement, as Senator Clinton found out.

The only weapon? He went from being a nobody two-term senator to the presumptive Democrat nominee and soon your next president in about, oh, two years. I imagine he's got more than a single trick up his sleeve.

the Obama camp went nuts when whatshisname from BET mentioned Obama's drug use during the primaries.

but personally, I think it's as stupid as turning McCain's divorce into an "issue"... we're electing humans as president. humans make mistakes; I don't live in a black and white world where people are beyond redemption because of stupid things they did in their past.

From Annual Energy Outlook 2007 with Projections to 2030 report: Link

The projections in the OCS access case indicate that access to the Pacific, Atlantic, and eastern Gulf regions would not have a significant impact on domestic crude oil and natural gas production or prices before 2030.

Anyway, our gas prices are still lower than many other countries... LINK
