Nice I was waiting for the class warfare by Obama. Now I will wait for the ads that will give hints that if you vote for McCain you are a racist. Good to see Obama on the defensive and desperate means McCain is really making head way in this race.

you are right. Instead he is pretending to be the Maverick he used to be back in 2000 when people actually supported him as a candidate.

This swing in the polls is all about Obama and his party refusing to drill for more oil and pissing off the working class. If Obama really was in touch with the average joe he would be leading the fight to get the off shore bans lifted to try and get the price of gas down. Instead Obama and his elitist tree hugger friends are blocking any new drilling in hopes of getting gas prices to 10 dollars a gallon. That way he can "wean" the evil working class off of oil at the price of bankrupting them.

Things change and 4 dollar a gallon gas changes the game. Even a rich person like McCain can see how destructive high gas prices are. It is not just felt at the pump but felt at the grocery store. I do love that you are willing to spout out the pelosi talking points to try and fight drilling. What next you going to say it will take 10 years to get any oil when a 3rd world country like brazil will get ultra deep water oil in less than 3 years.

They're quite the same, really. Both started as dark horse candidates and turned out winning performances. Both exhibited this mid-campaign drop in the polls as their Republican opponents went on the offensive. The one thing Senator Obama seems to have a mastery of is timing and placement, as Senator Clinton found out.

The only weapon? He went from being a nobody two-term senator to the presumptive Democrat nominee and soon your next president in about, oh, two years. I imagine he's got more than a single trick up his sleeve.

but personally, I think it's as stupid as turning McCain's divorce into an "issue"... we're electing humans as president. humans make mistakes; I don't live in a black and white world where people are beyond redemption because of stupid things they did in their past.
