Hey, I was going to say that too. I wear your size also.

I got some 9 1/2 size 608's. Pretty comfy, but I think I need a new pair as these are starting to smell.

New Balance and Asics have their followings. I'm personally an Asics fan and I know many XC and track runners and wear nothing but (me included) but New Balance gets my respect. I just happen to wear Asics over them. For trail running though, I'd say New Balance is the best.

My feet may be normal sized, but i have wide feet and it is REALLY hard finding a comfortable shoe that doesn't kill my feet. The NB i have have a mesh on the side that allows my foot to stretch the material out a little bit.

I have a pair of NB 991s and I love them. I'll probably replace them with NB 1220s. I need motion control because of an ankle/tendon problem.

Width matching is a bitch, yeah. That's cool on the NB shoe. Does NB have any that will stretch the toe area out say a couple of inches? :D

If you plan on running, I'd definitely head to a local running shop and get properly fitted for shoes.

I did that and bought the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever owned (which happened to be a pair of asics).

lots of good brands there, but the asics was cut right for my foot. Don't shop by brand, shop by feel. It won't matter how well a shoe is rated if it's not the right fit.

NB is the only shoes I buy. Get em at NewBalance Web Express. Really like their hiking boots. And off road runners.

Another positive vote for them. I've had my pair for two years, wear them all the time, and they are holding up just fine. Best quality Tennis Shoe's I've ever had. (I wear them casually, not running or anything else.)
