New Balance > Nike

I have been wearing Nike running shoes for most of my life. A friend of mine highly recommend New Balance running shoe, so I bought a pair of NB running shoe this weekend. The NB fitted my feet better than any Nike I have ever worn and it's much more comfortable. BTW there are made in good old USA if that means anything anymore.

Nike still has the best fore-foot cusioning of any brand out there and typically has the best fit for narrow footed people like myself.

Asics is a close second.

There is no one right running shoe. I prefer Asics but don't begrudge people that like NB or Nike or even Reebok better. Different strokes for different folks.

nb sure works for me! ive got flat wide feet. id always have to go through an excruciating painful break in periods with nikes. but now since ive worn a pair of nb's ive never looked back.

I like NBs myself as well. I use Nikes for my racing shoes, though, because they're cheap, have good arch suuport, fit my feet well, and did I mention they're cheap? I've worn Mizuno before, but they just weren't right for me. Never tried Asics, Saucony or Brooks.

They're still made in the US? last time I checked they were made in China. I guess I'll check again.

My relatives loved NB because it was made in the US. They would always ask me to send them or they would buy them whenever they came to the US. Better quality than Nike.

Really?

I have narrow feet and have always hated Nike. They never fit me right.

I prefer Reebok nowadays, but have never tried anything else other than Nike & Reebok because I'm too cheap. 😉

I've got flat wide feet as well. Can anyone recommend me any particular shoe? I'm currently wearing white Reebok classics that are size 14. I'm actually a 13, however I had toe surgery on both big toes and my podiatrist recommended I wear larger shoes. Any particular models or sellers too look for?

Thanks,
Kishan

Hey! Those kids get a whole dollar every week! They're ecstatic at how much money they're making! 🙂

Just go to any store; they have a wide variety of nice looking shoes, and they're not too expensive either.

Thats the thing. I've been to Modell's, Athelete's Foot, Foot Locker, and some other stores and they don't have something in a size 14 wide.

Oh if it helps, I guess $150 would be my limit. I normally see NB's go for around $80 or so.

Diadora, or other brands that make motion control/stability control shoes.

New Balance for sure has wide width shoes. That would be my first choice. Are you looking for running, walking, or casual types of shoes?
