They do the exact same thing the beta drivers did. They absolutly kill the mid-low range sounds in everything including MP3s, movies and games. It is incredibly noticable on my Klipsch speakers. Ugh.

Whats the deal with DTS support on the Audigy 2. My machine freezes up when ever I play something and attempt DTS decoding. The specs say it will decode DTS on spdif in decode with these new drivers.

Is it only for pass through to external decoder. It could do this before, right?

Hmmm after recalibrating and resetting everything, it's all good here with my Aud2 Platinum Ex.

The advanced EQ effects in the Surround Mixer no longer work for me. When I choose any of them sound just dissapears.

When in the Advance EQ Menu, Go back to (No Effects) wait a moment then choose a Preset

Nope, doesn't work. Enviroments and Special effects work but those both suck. The good stuff is in the Advanced EQ, not sure why it won't work.

edit: It seems to work with movies but not with mp3 or wav files in both Winamp and WMP.

so do you all remove your previous driver then install this one? or do you just let the webupdate do it without removing your previous driver?

I updated to these latest drivers. Driver date is 7/10/2003 that the driver date everyone else is getting? Also instead of Creative Audigy Processor it now shows up as Creative Audigy2 ZS WDM now in device manager

I just used their web update-install on 1 Rig, the driver date is 10/21 and the Aud2 is listed as Creative SB Audigy 2 (WDM)

This is queer but the driver version shown under Audigy Properties is not updated when the normal setup is run but it is when extracted and ctzapxx is run. Either way the driver is actually updated.
