Looks goofy to me. What's with Antec mounting all the PSus at the bottom of the case?

It gives it access to cooler air, making it less likely to have the fan spin up due to thermals. It also keeps it away from the CPU, which is another hot componentt that might cause it to spin up more.

Looks more like a "loud performance rig" than a nice quiet case. However, the 200mm fan at the top is indeed something to notice! 🙂

Navaros: "Is this new Antec better than the P180B or not?"

Define better. Quieter=No, Lower temps = possibly, Less expensive=No, Lighter - ?, 900 is Stacker wannabe=Yes.

that case looks good to me, all metal mesh front like coolermaster centurion provide excellent airflow, simple and stylish look. with so many large fans, you can set them all on 5v and still get decent cooling. just not sure about the high price tag...

But, the PSU has a fan that aids in the exhausting of hot air anyway.

that thing looks badass. having the psu at the bottom means that there's nothing blocking that top exhaust fan from pulling all the hot air out of the case.

Fans in PSUs shouldn't be counted on to contribute to system cooling any more. In the old days, the PSU fan was the only one in the case and they ran full speed 24/7. Not that way any more. Some PSU fans don't even keep the PSU cool enough for my liking. They've traded off self-preservation for quietness. So with no PSU at the top, the system exhaust fans can be located nearer the top of the case where they will do more good. Where they are in standard cases can starve the CPU and PSU fans for air.

Too many holes to look good. Sure, ventilation must be great, but it's like the Lian-Li V1000 (or whatever the model number is), where you can see through the case. I think Apple does the whole "holes in the case" thing best.

Lot of people mad that they didn't wait for this before jumping on the P180b. Glad I waited I don't need another box oven like the P180b. Muhahaha!
