These screeners are not going to be getting their jollies doing this, and I would suspect that even these government flunkies have seen real live naked male and female bodies before.

Most reasonable people would suspect that a penis is lurking beneath my clothing. So what if it shows up on a monitor (that I assume will not be visible to all passersby) while a security person checks for contraband on my person?
Agreed. I mean really - get over oit :) After the 500th body they will not even give a crap anymore. They'll just be looking for objects.

Now come on, if a female is doing the scanning, and this big hunky guy with a huge penis walks through, she's not going to just shrug that off. And if a guy is doing the scanning, and this gorgeously perfect bodied female walks through with nice voluptous breasts and a labia piercing, he's going to get a kick out of that too.

Of course the bald-headness effect is kind of a turn off. :( I would actually feel bad for the screeners, because majority of Americans are now overweight, and you get quite a few 500 pound people these days, the screeners will be able to see every roll. :( I wonder if big fat people like that could hide stuff in their rolls... hmm...

the only problem being an MRI type technology isn't going to cost just $100-200 grand.

Except for anybody with piercings, steel implants or any kind of jewelry.

You both make good points. I think after looking at 1000s of images a day you really aren't going to care anymore. But then again if you are a guy and you see a hot woman go through, you might be inclined to look a little longer. I guess they could have the person looking at the x-ray vision unable to physically see the person who is being x-rayed. Put the screener in a seperate closed room.....yup, that's the solution. I personally wouldn't care if they saw me with x-ray vision, but then again I'm a good looking guy with a good body and a large unit ;) I'd be more concerned that if I flew all the time that I'd be exposed to a lot of x-rays in a year.

The article explains that the amount of xray radiation is no more affective than full sun exposure.

If they do impliment this plan they should set everyone's mind at ease by staffing the screening positions exclusively with former porn stars and prostitutes. If you've seen it once....
