I've one card pre-ordered on Jan 12 and they pushed out the ETA. Take the ETA with a truck load of salt. I'll just ride it out and hope for the best.

They actually UPPED my 3080 ETA from Feb 5th, to Jan 27th. Still Jan 31 on the CPU.

My BH Photo 5950x is still due later in Feb, ordered Nov 5th last year !!!

@Markfw , looks like shopblt pushed out the eta of my card to Feb 5th for the second time. Did you get any update on the 3080 eta yet?

P.S. I don't trust their eta but will ride along...

5950x 1/31, 3080 2/7, updated this am.

Edit: I have been waiting since 11/5/2020 for my 5950x from B&H, so I will also be a little patient with shopblt.

BTW, I was going to create another thread, but here is OK too. Right now I have 992 threads running Rosetta and WCG, but I have a total of 1032 threads. I finally made it over 1000 ! When this box goes live that will be 1064 !

That is over 17 computers and this new one will make it 18 !

Here is the list
2 x 2683v3 14 core Xeon's
4 x 3900x 12 core
1 3950x 16 core
1 1950x Threadripper 16 core
1 2970wx Threadripper 24 core
2 2990wx threadripper 32 core
1 EPYC 7551 32 core (naples)
1 EPYC 7452 32 core (Rome)
3 EPYC 7742 (one is really a 7B12) 64 core (Rome)
2 7601 EPYC 32 core (naples) in one box

Coming 5950x 16 core !

I actually also have an I7 950 that I use for gaming, no DC projects, its windows XP. Of the 17, 3 are windows, and 14 are linux.

That's a crazy amount of threads! :D

Does your electricity supplier ever ask about your energy consumption? ;)

Pissed !!! Nowinstock gave me notice that 5950x was available at Amazon for MSRP. I was within 5 minutes of the email coming in, and it was OOS when I added to cart.

DAMN, so close.

Gutted! Better luck next time.
I keep putting in bids for $25 over MSRP, once for $100 over, but no takers. But they are selling that $1100-$1200, so somebody is getting them shipped and sold, just wayyyyy slowwwww.

B&H may be my best bed, their latest ETA was later in Feb, so maybe in the next 3 weeks ?

There must be a silicon God? Anyway, I will start praying for all of those in the world that desire more IPC, increased number of cores and per core frequency that they shall have a chance at it at least :)

This should help fix this pandemic fueled mess? :)

I don't live all that far from B&H, a little less then 2 hours, but
would never drive in that Manhattan traffic, 1 way streets, no parking,
and what 8 million people.

Thats OK, I have another volunteer already for micrlcenter, just hoping B&H comes through first. My order should be before any sore, it was a preorder from Nov 5th.

I got an email update from B&H today....the (5900X) processor is still out of stock. Then I refresh my order page, and it says the order is 'in progress'. LOL, I'm confused. :)

OK, before I put this in for sale, here is a motherboard/cpu coming out of service when the 5950x comes live. A 2683v3 14 core 2.5 GHZ Xeon cpu/motherboard, PM me with an offer if interested. I can't really sell it here, but I wanted to give those DC'ers a head start. It will go cheap. Actuall it may be a 2695. Here is the lscpu output

Waiting 3 months and 6 days.... It was almost too much. But I really wanted a 5950x to see what it could do in DC

I’ve been having a heck of a lot of fun with mine - hope you enjoy yours as much.

Ive seen early rumors that Ryzen 6k will have another 25% IPC gain and 10% clock speed boost to be released in 2022. I might end up buying every generation if the gains are going to be that large.

I own gen1(1700x), gen2(2 of 2990wx, and a 2970wx) gen3(4 x 3900x and a 3950x) and now gen 4, so I know what you mean.

I can't believe it. The first day in 3 months that you can get a 5950x at Microcenter, or at B&H, and only ONE post on the entire forum (aside from mine) I thought people would be excited.
