New 2016 Ghostbusters trailer is here

The 1st Transformer movie is the only remake/reboot of my 80's childhood that I've actually kind of enjoyed. This feels so forced and not something that anyone was asking for. And especially not executed in the way they did it.

Now if Bill Murray and Dan Akroyd somehow were convinced to do a remake under the right conditions and a good story...I'm interested.
 
I like the cast....Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy are both funny. However, their humor and delivery of jokes are very much the same in most of their movies. This looks like it's Bridesmaids 2.

I like the concept of Murray and Akroyd doing a remake, but at the same time...without Harold Ramis being in the mix, it just wouldn't be the same. He was a bigger contributor to the success than Murray and Akroyd.
 
I like to think it's a case like The Goonies where the trailer is a very poor representation of the final product that actually ends up being really good, but is poorly communicated because of poor movie trailer editing.

But deep down I suspect that that was 2 minutes of the best parts in the movie. 🙁
 
The ghost effects look pretty cool. Do any of the original guys make a camo? If so, there should be a memorial for Egon.

I'll probably wait till it's on Netflix to watch it. Maybe a BRD.
 
I wonder how many here would look at the original trailer with today's eyes and say roughly the same thing. We've become a bunch of cynical web trolls.
 
It looks like they're trying to rehash as much as they can instead of letting it stand on its own. Even the characters seem to be following that instead of letting them do their own thing.
 
It's everything I thought it would be. Which is not a compliment.

Maybe the artsy movie house in my area will show the original on release of this turd.

It's not 12/22 that simplifies to 6/11. It's 48/22 = 24/11. Fools. (Among other errors in the gibberish.)
