One-up on the crazy sister-

Mine listened to Joe Rogan and did the Ivermectin regimen when she contracted covid. She's a medical professional too, though not an MD. Still surprised me, as I use to think she was pretty smart. That notion basically went out the window now.

Just went ahead and signed up with an email I don't use much.... forum itself btw appears legit if a bit lame. Looks like its all MMA/UFC or similar?

🙂

Now who's stupid?

Sheesh, seems it's actually quite complicated. Not only do several countries have a form of Thanksgiving (all on different dates) but it seems like it's related to, but not the same as, harvest festivals, that I think yet more countries have (apparently we have one of those in UK, though I don't remember anyone in my life ever mentioning it - maybe it only comes up in rural areas?).

I doubt I could explain to anyone why the US (and Canada) give it so much more prominence than do most countries. Wiki leaves me none-the-wiser as to what that's about.

Thanksgiving is a national holiday celebrated on various dates in the United States, Canada, Grenada, Saint Lucia, and Liberia. It began as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year. Similarly named festival holidays occur in Germany and Japan.
