nevermind. outta my hands now

I;m afraid it probably your fault. 🙁

You pulled into her path and interupted her movement. Plus making a U-Turn anywhere other than an intersection is usually illegal.

EDIT: Doh. TG beat me to it.

Windogg,

That's exactly what I was thinking - if you got into her path, then it is your fault. You should have been aware of the vehicles around you.

Yep, sorry but it's your fault. A vehicle going straight always has the right of way over a turning vehicle (unless of course you are at a stoplight or stopsign).

Actually, making a u-turn in an intersection is illegal in most states, except on divided roads. If you pulled over to the right to make the u-turn, then you weren't in an intersection. You should have come to a complete stop, then she had the right of way because you were off the road at that point. You are clearly at fault.

I think so.
I'm pretty sure they're not exactly happy that you tried to make a turn when there's cars around you.

Who got the ticket? Thats usually a good sign of who's at fault. If no ticket, it'll probably come down to a no-fault (no proof) one word against another accident.

If you got a ticket, you're it!

<< It could have been a left/3-point (can't prove which i was gonna do), doesnt that make it a legal turn? >>

Possibly, except you first went to the right a bit to make your turn. I usually just use a driveway or another side street if I want to turn around, then you don't have to account for other people not paying attention.

I'm pretty sure it is/still is your fault, she was behind you moving in the same direction and you crossed over in front of her... what did she do wrong other than not brake in time?

<< women are at fault since by definition they are bad drivers. >>

Squirt... drip drip drip more of your foul attitude spashing about on OT.

<< women are at fault since by definition they are bad drivers. >>

Considering your performance in another thread today, I'd be careful about what to say if I was you.....

I'd be curious to hear about your driving record.

1. Where there any witnesses?

if no, she can lie and say you did it.

It is in your best interest to blame her 100% and let the legal deparments sort it out. They will tell her that it was your fault.

If you even give any inkling that might suggest it would have been your fault, you're gonna get hammered. She'll prolly go to the hospital and neck injury clinic.

protect your butt dude.

<<women are at fault since by definition they are bad drivers.>>

That kind of attitude is generally not tolerated here. You've been making fun if/insulting users all day. I hope the mods nail you.

The polices will PROLLY sue BOTH of you. (They got the right and reason to)

She is going too fast(reason behind her legal responsibility) and SHOULD be able to stop in place if YOU are not moving too fast.

it was a joke, i can't believe you guys would take such a RIDICULOUS stereotype so seriously...I think ppl are looking for something to flame.

If you're inbetween C and D she probably figured you were stopping there.
I was always under the impression that if there's cars around you you had to stop and wait before they're gone before making a turn.

If I see someone pull off to the right, I assume they are going to stay there, so I pass on the left. What did you expect her to do, wait for you to turn in front of her? You took away her driving right of way by swinging back into her lane.

However, if you pulled off and she nicked the back end of you, it would be her fault.

Also,

<< 2) she hit me and it took some distance to stop (showed by scrape lines all across her body). >>

its pretty hard to stop in less than a car length when driving past something. 25 MPH really isn't speeding unless its a school zone.
