Nevermind - Lounge Act or In Bloom

After listening to this album since the end of 1991, while I think every song (on the original pressing (without Endless Nameless) is a classic in it's own right, I've finally narrowed it down to two tracks that I think are the most superior musically,

Lounge Act and In Bloom

I know what my vote is, but between those two, what is yours?

By the way if you hate Nirvana, or can't accept that everyone is entitled to an opinion, stay out 😛
 
Can't pick.. its an album, not a bunch of songs thrown onto a CD. They are all great in their own way and go together perfectly. Its like trying to pick the best note played on Wish You Were Here.

Come to think of it, on that particular song it may be possible 😛
 
I prefer Lounge Act. I just love the bassline at the beginning. I felt kind of dumb when I found out that they named it Lounge Act because they thought it sounded like a song that would be played by a lounge act.

I think my favorite song on that album is Drain You.
 
In Bloom, because it was there at the right time in my adolesence

One of my best friends at the time and I discovered that music together. A couple of years later he got killed. I smile every time I hear a song from that album. Makes me think of the crazy sh!t he and I used to pull...that and screaming the words to the songs while out jammin/driving around

good times

That and the "live in new york" CD that played in constant loop the summer before he died.
 
IMO,

Polly > On a Plain > In Bloom > Come As You Are > Lithium > Something in the Way > Drain You > Smells Like Teen Spirit > Lounge Act > Breed > Territorial Pissings > Stay Away

And Heart-Shaped Box > Nevermind

Perhaps early in the Foo's career, but at this point there is simply no comparison. Despite Dave Grohl's comments that it was to be their magnum opus, I am relatively confident that people will not be discussing the overall merits of "In Your Honor" 15+ years after its release.

Who cares what 10 or 20 people without lives will be discussing 15 years from now.

If the parallels are lost on you, then I can only assume you are a prepubescent that has just discovered music and knows little of its recent history. If that is the case, then I congratulate you for choosing rock music over the more popular but less talented rap genre, and encourage you to look up "alternative music" on wikipedia.

Bwuahahahaha:laugh: I was aware Alternative Music long before Nirvana ever hit the scene. BTW I like Nirvana and the whole Seattle scene, I just feel the the Foo Fighters are a better group overall.

 
I like In Bloom better but they're both good. The last verse and chorus in Lounge Act is sweet though.
 
I voted Lounge Act. I had forgotten how much I liked Nirvana. Time to rip those old CD's.
