Lounge Act is possibly the best song from the 90's.

Did I just say that?

Nirvana definately is the best act of the 90's, Nevermind is such a quality album. Even the B-Sides and misc. stuff on Incesticide are great (except for Hairspray Queen, and the other songs that are intentionally bad)

There are a few good YouTube fan made music videos for Lounge Act, also an old demo playing over a picture which is good too.

Nirvana FTW

Kurt wasn't very technically musically talented, especially compared to his bandmate Grohl, and usually had to get assistance from Krist to even tune his guitar. He readily admitted his guitar skills were lacking btw.

The magic of Cobain was his song writing talent. The combination of simple hard nose riffs, beautiful melodies and poetic, mysterious lyrics come together to form an incredibly moving and passionate musical experience. No album like Nevermind could, or has, ever so moved me emotionally. From infecting me with rage I could barely contain, to lifting me up and throwing me around the room dancing in another world, to breaking me down and making me feel sad and hopeless.

Now that I am 31 I don't quite feel those things as intensely but his music can still affect me enough (bringing me back to very painful moments in my life) to where I avoid it mostly until I just can't stay away any longer. Then I listen, get angry, get sad, mourn for myself back then, mourn for Kurt and his child, and then put away both the album and those feelings for another 6mo or so. :)

BTW, before I get "jeezus man it's just music" comments let me say I was 16 in Seattle in 1991 and a huge Nirvana fan since the first release Bleach, and also going through serious abuse at home, so yes, while illogical and silly, Nirvana's music and Kurt meant a lot to me in my life and his death had a significant impact on me.

As to the OP, between the two, I prefer Lounge Act.
