A discussion from a criminal defense attorney and law professor about never talking to the police about anything without first talking to a lawyer. Lots of good examples and done in plain English that anyone can understand.
His points are:
Nothing you say can possibly do you any good. NOTHING. The only thing you should ever say is you exercise your fifth amendment right.
What you say can be used AGAINST you in court, but will never be used FOR you. Anything in favor of you will be dismissed by the judge as hearsay, but anything you say against yourself is admissible.
A 28 year cop and detective gone lawyer after him says that everything the lawyer said is correct.
Consider it a PSA.
