Who the land belongs to is debatable.

No, the land clearly belongs to the public and not Mr. Bundy. Mr. Bundy is simply stealing forage and trespassing in his use of the land.

But the government shouldn't be sending in people with guns and spending millions of tax dollars to deal with this. This isn't the first time they have done this. They have tried to take away peoples private property because certain animals live there completely screwing the landowner out of all the money they spent. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they were up to the usual tactics.

Mr. Bundy had twenty years to remove his property from the public lands. He chose to continue stealing forage instead. One hopes that Mr. Bundy gets billed for the cost of removing his cattle.

The government workers are salaried, so giving them work isn't costing anything extra. Considering this land is an income source for the government, economically, there isn't anything better that they could be doing. He's stealing a salable resource and they're putting a stop to it.
As for the cost of the roundup, I'm pretty sure Bundy's gonna be on the hook for that.

Actually, the government loses millions of dollars per year on public lands grazing. Congress sets the grazing fees well below market value and below administrative costs. It's a welfare program for ranchers. This is what chaps my ass about Mr. Bundy's actions. Even when he was paying his fees he was still sucking at the public tit.

They don't believe those rulings are just, this is just one case of many, as they said, the BLM policies are basically anything they think up, nobody has a voice in that except the federal govt, they make "rules" up for each case to find some excuse to take the land over, it's not about fees really, that's the fake reason, it's the land use.
