Neuticles

My gf is getting Neuticles for her little dog. I don't know what kind of little dog it is, I'm not really good with animals. Anyway, she's getting fake testes for him because apparently getting rid of the old ones will low his testosterone levels and maybe help with his aggression towards other dogs.

I don't really care about getting balls chopped, I just think its really wierd that he's getting implants in place of them. She says he's really going to notice not having them and its a self esteem thing. I know the dog will notice that he doesn't have balls, but will it "fool" him if he has implants?

I wonder why dont they just do the snipping of the lines (vasectomy) instead of chopping the balls off

vasectomy you mean? Hysterectomy is taking out the uterus

Dressing your pet in 'uman clothes is less of an aberration than Neuticles. Tell her to send me the money it will cost and I'll personally come sit with her dog, hold his paw and, help him work through this difficult time.

P.S. Did you know she was wacko when you got together?

She's not nuts, she's a big fan of animals though and has spent years as a vet tech. I just didn't know how much fake balls would trick a dog.

I hope she doesn't plan on breeding.

My Momma always said; "Nutso is as nutso does." As a vet tech, she should definitely know better. Does she work for a holistic vet who refers 90% of her patients? Just asking cuz I know one like that.

No, she worked for Pet's Mart in a special surgical place that they have.

Vasectomy is cutting the vas deferens so that sperm can't find its way out. It does nothing to suppress testosterone production, which neutering does.

Yeah, I didn't think about that. Will vet docs perform a vasectomy if you want?

I'm not sure, but a big plug to having the balls chopped is that they are less aggressive and don't mark (pee a little bit) all over everything to claim territory as its a testosterone driven thing. Why not just get rid of em.

My mother was a licensed vet tech for 20 years. We moved across country, and she got a job in a Petsmart...she walked out after something like 3 days, because they were so incompetent.

Nothing personal about your GF, she may be an excellent tech, just saying.

This is taking the humanization of animals thing a bit far . . .

possibly even worse than dressing dogs in costumes.

IDK though. Not my dog, not my say.
