My senior project was done on the bitcoin/usd market and was selected as the best economics project for Fall 2011 and is listed on the Cal Poly Econ department website. -Set up, installation, and maintenance, and systems administration of our existing Linux and Windows production, development and test servers.
-Development of strategies for scale, security, and back up for SaaS product

-Experience with Web based products is ideal

-Experience writing scripts (python, perl, shell, batch, etc.)
-Experience with standard monitoring systems configuration and customization (Nagios, Cacti, Splunk, SNMP, Gomez, etc..)
-Experience with firewalls, load balancers, switches, and other network equipment
-Experience with cloud computing a strong plus

in manassas still needs facilities technicians to work night shift.
They get fluids and power and such to the machines actually processing wafers, upstairs.

Its generally class 1000 or 10000 cleanroom work, and you do get dirty on occasion. Robotics skills a plus but not required. Its more plumbing and electrical and basic mechanics. They liked me cuz I had Photo experience but wasnt quite perfect for the job.

Its pretty much guaranteed night shift. 15% bonus but over the years I found I'm just no damn good at night.

They got work available in two california locations, lots at their Idaho plant, quite a few in Minnesota, and a buttload in Virginia. For a good job you could relocate, couldnt you?
