My employer in Cambridge, MA, has a number of positions open that might be of interest here.

First of all we need developers, pretty much any kind from low-level C++ and Lisp hackers, computer scientists, GUI/website people, database people, scripters.

Second, our QA team is looking for QA engineers to nag all of the above people :)

Third, we hire in all our operations departments. Linux sysadmins, Windows sysadmins, networkers, scripters, people who can run a very complicated application, on thousands of CPUs.

Please contact me directly to get more info on any of these. I'm not a recruiter, I'm a programmer in this company.

I am currently looking for a new job myself. Graduated in EECE (Computer Option) May of 2005, and started working for Halliburton in October. Dont really like being in the oil field that much, mostly because it is an on call 24-7 job and you give up your life to the oil field. My job is ok for right now, but am currently looking for something out of the oil field and outside of my current state (Louisiana) within the next 6 months. Looking for something in Computer Hardware Engineering or Sales.

I hope I get a read. Since this post is landing on the upteenth page.

I am currently in the Air Force, active duty, married and father of two. My date of seperation is 30 December 2006. I will be in need of a job. I currently live in Middle Georgia, though relocation is definately possible (trying to sell my house currently as well).

Highschool Diploma, and formal Military Training. I am an extremely hard worker, and very interested in the tech world.

My current AFSC is 3c2x1 other wise known as a Tech Controller. http://usmilitary.about.com/od/airforceenlistedjobs/a/afjob3c2x1.htm

I am a very hands on learner.
I have worked on long haul circuits with out any formal training. I am the go to guy for Circuit Actions.
I have worked with Enterasys, Cabletron, and Cisco switches, and routers, performing basic troubleshooting, (Air Force doesn't allow us to do anything more in depth, it is contracted out)
I also have some experience in server management, work group management duties. Installing client specific software, hardware, patching and keeping end user pc's up to date, as well as troubleshooting software, hardware problems.

I like to build computers as a hobby, though my income level is the limiting factor.

I do not have any certifications or college outside of the college credits earned through my job's tech school. If needed I have the GI Bill, to pay for any job training that may be required to further progress.

I would really appreciate any offers, or assistance on a personal level. The current state of the Air Force is kicking people out, or forcing them to retrain into other career fields, or into the Army.

Thankyou for the view, and the read. And to the OP, this thread is a blessing.

Well guys (and gals), still looking for a tech-related job. Recent graduate with a Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (in Troy, NY). Had some family issues I had to take care of, but now I am all ready to go! At this point, I'm pretty much willing to relocate anywhere that'll give me a tech-related job. Please PM me if you'd like to see my resume. I am currently located in Dorchester, MA. I'd prefer a position in the NYC or Boston, MA area, but anywhere else works too. :) Thanks in advance.
