!!!Google is hiring!!!

How is life at Google?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6h-gm01Fb0
Enough said.. and pretty true. Everyone is really happy and youthful here.

Great, how do we get started?
- Find 3 jobs that you like from
http://www.google.com/intl/en/jobs/index.html
I recommend picking 3 from different departments. The reason is because if you apply all for 1 department, if that 1 hiring group decides you aren't qualified.. you lost all 3 chances. Also, if you apply for 1 position in a department, if the recruiter of that dept.. feels you are qualified for another position in that position.. they'll most likely let you know and ask if you are interested.

- Get your resume setup. Common sense here.. don't have a 4 page long resume.. don't write your weight, marital status on your resume.. etc.

- PM me and I'll tell you what to do next. (emailing me your resume, etc.)

Please do not
- ask me to review your resume
- ask me to find you a position
- ask me how the interview went
- try to convince me to hire you.. I'm not the recruiter.

Does anyone know if their company is looking for summer interns? I am looking to get an internship somewhere and I can provide a resume upon request. I'm looking to get something in the Systems Analyst field, Systems Auditing, IT Sales, Solutions Development, or Project Management. Location is not a factor as long as they can pay me enough to live comfortably in that area for the summer. PM me if you know of anything.

Thanks

Any accountants/finance people in the Eastern NY/Connecticut Area or who might want to move there? We're looking for someone to work as an intercompany accountant in your Global Services group. I think the wage is anywhere from 46k to 50k (i'm estimating based on my own salary and from a few other people in our group). Might be even a little higher because we didn't meet our college recruiting goals during the November/December drive (But don't take this as gospel, i don't have anything to do with determining salary!!!). I don't think there's any negotiating salary because it's based on demand and the regional market for salaries for similar positions and plus this is an entry level position. I think you have to have less than 18 months experience from a previous full time job. PM me if you're interested!

Edit: Oh i forgot one more thing... for this position, you basically work there for 2 or 3 years, then they expect you to transfer to Somers, NY (or maybe Armonk, NY) to work at their main accounting site (for higher pay of course)... Some people transfer the North Carolina afterwards too. A few others take other opportunities around the country but they are in the minority.

Edit: Doh, forgot a couple things. It's necessary to have at least a 3.0 GPA and a car/driver's license.

I'm looking for a CSS/XHTML web designer asap, plenty of work, just need someone to do it on a contract basis. Email me (ankit[at]cernax.com) or send me a PM with a link to your portfolio, or at least sites you've designed, some referrals, and/or a resume. Basically, send whatever you think it'll take to get the job.

More details here: http://webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=585612 (I'm looking for the XHTML/CSS coder first, template editor isn't nearly as important)

Anyone know a Marketing Manager that wants a job in Los Angeles, CA? I know most AT members are techies, but maybe a technie knows someone who might want this position. Its basically a Marketing Manager or Brand Manager position. Only criterias that I know of is that this person must be experienced as a Brand Manager for 2-3 years minimum, 7 years preferred. Must have done some work for the online gaming industry.

I think the position pays $75K-$90K DOE plus benefits and bonus.

PM and I will try to get you more info.

I am looking for a summer job or 4 month internship in southern Ontario (preferably Kitchener-Waterloo area but I will commute for the right position). I have an undergraduate degree in mathematics (minor in stats) and am currently enrolled in Software Engineering so I would like to be working in the software industry but if I can't find something in that area I'll do just about anything that will pay my tuition.

Any leads?

I'm graduating in late May with a degree in Networking and System Admin from RIT, looking for something in the Boston area.
