Ok i dont know what else to do, Im not sure what the problem is. My wifes PC that connects to the internet through my PC (XP Internet sharing)just stopped connecting to the internet. I have replaced the NIC on my host PC and i just replaced the 100mb hub. I still cant ping the 3 PC's i have on my small home network. I have bounced all PC's, Checked all services and all looks ok.
I am just not getting any comm over my wire and why i cant is driving me nuts. New NIC, New HUB, I brought home a continuity tester and my cat-5's test fine. I have goodl lights on the NIC's and hub.
When i ping by name i get unkown
when i ping by IP i get timeouts.
When I unplug her wire from the hub, a message pops up saying "home" is now disconnected. WHen i plug the wire back in a message pops up "Home now connected at 100mb"
I just dont get it, even though i cant get her pc on the internet i should be able to ping within my own little network. WTF IS WRONG!!! :|
any suggestions?
