The brainpower in this team is top notch so I got a quick problem/question.
I have a linksys 4 port router and @home cable. Some PC's (all Win98) I have specified their IP's, DNS, gateway, etc... and some are on Auto (DHCP).
Everything worked fine until about 4 weeks ago. Now, I am having a weird DNS problem.
My main box will connect right away to the internet. All other win98 boxes have DNS errors *unless* I specify the actual IP address in IE. Once I hit enter about 10 times, the web page loads and DNS works fine until the end of the session.
Out of curiosity, I installed BEOS on PC #2, put my gateway, DNS, IP settings in and it worked right away.
Windows has struck me another blow.
The PC's that can't connect can ping my gateway, both DNS servers, anything really. They just don't resolve DNS until I specify the IP (like yahoo @ 64.58.76.176)
Am I going MAD or do all my bases belong to Bill Gates?
