Is there even any 1080p content yet? Anyone see a movie that had 5.1 sound yet either? I haven't been able to go home and try it yet.

You love to bitch, don't you. Just get a PS3 remote.

Who doesn't? I listed pros and cons just like anybody else would. If you don't like my cons, then ignore them. Or just keep calling me out, whatever your little heart desires pumpkin.

It takes a couple minutes to sign up, it's free, and you can set the PS3 to automatically log you in. There's not much there to really complain about...and either way, I'd say it's worth it for Netflix.

It wants waaaaay too much info, but I signed up. I guess it's slow being the first day, and I'm not a fan of the new interface.

Oh well, at least the content is still there.

I just watched Afro Samurai for some mindless fun, and the quality was quite good (it seemed at least DVD quality). One episode out of the 5 had some extra pauses for buffering at the start, but I've had that happen on the 360 too.

One reason people might have problems is if they're using wireless, since the PS3 does seem to have bandwidth problems with some wireless routers. My firmware updates were really slow before I switched from wireless to wired.

I run off a wired gigabit connection and it timed out :\.

I've run movies off the disc before today and they worked fine. I initially figured that it might've been server load from all the PS3 users rejoicing while throwing their useless instant play discs around like AOL free trial CDs of yesteryear.

I like the interface on the PS3 version better than the 360, but I hate having to use my PS3 controller to browse through stuff. Why... WHY doesn't the PS3 have an IR port?

Do you have a Slim and a moderately recent TV? If so, use your TV's IR port. I have a Sony, Sammy and Panny here that all work just fine using the TV remote for XMB operations. Proably could play a game with it too, hmmm, may have to try that out.

I used to have wireless issues until I turned off uPNP on my router. I believe it was a known issue.

I watched a couple of kids movies with my son through this. Quality was very good and no buffering or hiccups. I'm very pleased with this new Netflix integration.

woot yeah the kids like it. they been watching a lot of kids shows.

i noticed the problems with the wireless. thinking of running a wired connection over. i think i even have one just sitting in the basement i just need to put through the floor. hmm might do that today in fact.

Probably a good idea. I'm running it wired and haven't had any issues. Even better than the 360 version which I considered pretty much perfect anyway.

I've been using it to run Babylon 5 nights here at the house. I am using it off ethernet and haven't had any issues. Love the interface it. Also, I have Netflix on my Wii which is usually what the family uses during the day to stream. It is now built into the dashboard too, and looks very much like the PS3 client.

Both have been solid. I was using the Wii with the disc and my xbox 360 before, but no more.

I just signed up for Netflix and downloaded this. Watched The Big Lebowski and didn't have any issues. Not sure if I'll keep the sub though.

I have never used the Netflix feature on my PS3 even though I had the disk. I just got the new (non-disc) version last night and tried to play a movie. It started up right away and played fine. One thing I noticed compared to the 360 version is there isn't that little indicator to tell you if you have sufficient bandwidth for HD or if it needs to revert to SD. This is a good psychological trick because I jsut accept whatever it (PS3) gives me. On the 360 anytime I see that "buffering" screen, I get nervous.

Note: I am on a 3MB DSL connection so yes, streaming HD is an issue.

One thing I wish either the 360 or PS3 version had was a "watch all" option. I usually watch several episodes in a row and don't like hitting play every time an episode finishes, and unless I'm missing something there's no way around that.
