I'm just in denial.

In the next couple of years, I'll be headed up to the Pacific NW myself. Cleveland born and raised, so I have a soft spot for it I guess.
I grew up just outside of Akron, so I know what ya mean. Growing up was great for me personally, but man does this state suck. It's poor, dirty, depressing, fat, etc. Just not an enjoyable place to live
Living in Akron isn't helping much I wouldn't assume. Cleveland burbs aren't so bad. There's at least some semblance of a nightlife up this way. But not all that much of an improvement I wouldn't think.
I've honestly only driven through Akron...never actually been. Only heard the horror stories.
I've never really been to Cleveland much other then the airport, I-X center, and a few events downtown. I've mainly just heard horror stories

.
The burbs of Cleveland aren't too bad (Legacy Village is one of my fav areas to go buy stuff

), and there are some rich areas but overall it's just a bigger Akron (with more construction to boot... East Lake Corridor I'm looking your way). I have family throughout most the country and visited them, and it's 10x better or more in any of those states.
