Yes, I've run memtest before when I had it overclocked by 10x265 and it ran stable using the 2.5-4-4-7, although I think we only achieved 210mhz total ram. While this is running at 245mhz.

I haven't used the tweaker yet to mess around with it. I'm really gunning for that 166 since It's sitting at 245mhz and my ram is rated for 250. Or is that just a dream? lol.

So it seems your bios wanted to run the ram at cas 2 at 166 and it wouldn't cut it??? Interesting...Mine seems to pick so far relatively right on what the ram will do....

I never liked my Geil sticks though...

Hey I also noticed when I went to 200 it did with auto give me some insane cas 2.5 that I knew wouldn't work...it errored almost immediately.......

Maybe I was just lucky looking at one area where it did approzimate well....

I am messing around with the voltages and I just noticed besides voltages. When I loosen the timings at 166, the ram is less stable failing test 4 already. When I let it choose auto at 2.5, it lasts until the end of test 5. So Right now I'm keeping 2.5-4-4-6 and playing with voltage to see if something changes.

It seems to auto everything to 2.8v for me so that isn't much thought since at one speed I know it is 36 pass stable at 2.75v.....

That board just will not run at 166, although that should theoretically work cause thats under its rated speed. When I set all ram but the 1T and 166 to auto, it tries to run at 2-4-4-6.

Well, looks like I will be running at DDR400 basically (DDR393 to be exact).

Memtest passes 5 and 6 using:

133mhz
1T
2-3-3-5

So thats running at 196mhz

not bad cause while you are running only 400ddr (approx) the low cas 2 and low 3 for the TRCD makes it more appealing or even equal to a cas 2.5-4-4-7 or so 480-500ddr....remember fro most things amd like cas timings rather then bandwidth alone....

Sorry to keep rambling on with this thread but got a new thing to add:

According to CPU-Z in the SPD timings table it tells me for 250Mhz I need:

2.5-5-5-9

Is this accurate and worth attempting?

Sure, you can try it.
If you can get it to run stable, then you can run some benches and see which would be better. 2.5-5-5-9 @ DDR500, or 2-3-3-5 @ DDR400.
My guess is that they would be pretty close in performance.

My speed timings are super conservatove as well eventhough I have and done much better then them...

It say 277 is cas 3-6-6-11 though I can get 3-4-4-11 and have been able to get 3-6-6-11 to work stable as high as 286....

It say 2.5-4-4-8 at 200 though at lower cpu speeds I can get 2-2-2-5 to run and even 1.5-2-2-5 though it didn't make much difference....

So here are my final numbers it appears:

9x295 = 2650Mhz
3x HTT

RAM:

133mhz
2-3-3-5
Running at DDR393
1T

That all she wrote?

Yeah the venice rig I built for a freind only got to 2600mhz after bumping vcore to 1.7volts. That was way to high imo. So I had to drop it down to 2500mhz so I can get vcore at 1.55volts. The chip I had wasnt a real great overclocker, and it sounds that you have one that's a little worse. Sorry to hear. :(

Congratulations. :)
That's a very nice increase. The RAM may only be at 393, but those tight timings will definitely be nice.

I've had some issues as well with a 3200+ and Msi K8n Plat. i'm using the 1.9 bios now. I can easily do 240x10 at 2-3-2-10 IT. at close to stock voltage like 1.43. But going past 2.4ghz is giving me issues. I'm using OCZ PC3200 Sticks. I got the board booting at 260HTT so and max HT I think I was able to boot at was around 290 something. But so far haven't been able to get into windows.
