Am in the process of putting system together and would like to know what to do w/the metal bracket on back of mb. Manual is very unclear. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciative.:cool:

Are you trying to put an aftermarket HSF on? Are you wondering how the stock plastic retaining bracket fits with it? Do you just think it's too shiny and want something classier for your mobo?

Give us some more details about what your asking.

Are you talking about the IO shield? It fits between the case and motherboard to block airflow in that area and have proper flow from filter in front through fans in rear

I think he is just asking what to do with the backplate. You use it to anchor the CPU's heatsink from my understanding. I am where you are right now, about to begin my first build so I am interested in this question.

that doesnt make any sense though. since when you get the mobo, it's installed, and unless you know it's there, or turn it over, you wont even see it during install!
