nice monitor. I have its brother, the G400. $320 is a good deal on it, esp. since you avoid tax and shipping. Plus, you can check it out before buying. Make sure the geometry and convergence is tolerable before you buy. Also make sure that you aren't bothered by the two guidewires appearing 1/3 from the top and bottom.

Sony makes great monitors. I would seriously consider this if you want a 19".

Thanks for the replies guys.
Luv2chill I'm not sure what you meant by guidewire????
Could you explain it a bit more?

Oh, well there are two horizontal lines that will be faintly visible in the upper and lower thirds of your monitor screen (they especially show up with a white or bright background. They add support to the aperture grille.

Some people are really bothered by them, but I can't see them unless I specifically look for them. But you should demo the monitor first and make sure that you can tolerate them. They're a necessary evil on all aperture grille monitors (trinitron and diamontron tubes), but the color saturation and flat screen of these tubes more than makes up for it.

It is a great monitor. I wouldn't normally recommend it because it is more expensive than a monitor just as good like the Samsung 900NF but since you are getting it for $320 (very nice price!), go for it. Check it out and make sure it's not damaged and the colors and the like are all good.

The guidewires he is talking about are the damper wires that appear on every aperture grill monitor. There are two on a 19", one about 1/3 from the top of the screen and the other about 1/3 from the bottom of the screen. Some people are bothered by them and won't get an AG monitor for jsut that reason. Personally, I am not bothered by them AT ALL. They are very faint and only noticeable on bright backgrounds like white or light grey. After using an AG monitor for a bit, I don't notice them anymore until someone on these forums mentions it :). This is just me though and some people are bothered by them.
