It is a great monitor. I wouldn't normally recommend it because it is more expensive than a monitor just as good like the Samsung 900NF but since you are getting it for $320 (very nice price!), go for it. Check it out and make sure it's not damaged and the colors and the like are all good.
The guidewires he is talking about are the damper wires that appear on every aperture grill monitor. There are two on a 19", one about 1/3 from the top of the screen and the other about 1/3 from the bottom of the screen. Some people are bothered by them and won't get an AG monitor for jsut that reason. Personally, I am not bothered by them AT ALL. They are very faint and only noticeable on bright backgrounds like white or light grey. After using an AG monitor for a bit, I don't notice them anymore until someone on these forums mentions it
