PGP (Pretty Good Privacy)

you can password protect entire folders or individual files
is this similar to password protection on websites? that's how I'd want it to work... I have full access to the folder once I enter the password, but not after closing the "browser." how easy is this to set up?

I only use it to encrypt single files

you just click on the encrypted file - give the password and then it shows the content

simple and secure. I guess it's the same with folders
I see. to google I go.

good luck

I use Lock folder XP for private files and porn, and it works well. Use the 30 day trial and see how it works. Costs 19.95 I think, and does exactly what I want 😀
