Build your credit by using a CC and paying it off each month. Don't let Dell bend you over.

I need to start building up my credit alittle more so I have decided to finance myself a gaming rig.
I want to go with Dell and their financing, any thoughts? Anyone ever used it?
I only require two things from a gaming rig; Run Crysis and be under $2,300.

Soo...ummm...you are going to use a mid-teens % credit card to buy a top-of-the-line computer that will only be top-of-the-line for 6mo, meanwhile you will be paying 16+% for the entire time, which could take years to pay off?
Yeah, makes perfect sense!

Damn this sucks. I got all worked up after watching that Crysis tech demo and was about to go to extreme lengths to have a l33t puter.
I'm 19 and am working for Cingular. I have a Mazda3 that is under my dads name right now. I haven't missed a payment yet. I wonder if I get the title transferred if it will shoot my credit up?

Here is an easier idea...
Get a student credit card - Pay car payments with it and all other living expenses you usually pay, but nothing extra, don't get carried away.
Just pay everything you normally would but instead of checks/cash use credit card. I did this with my rent - my dad deposits money into my account for it and school, but I pay it all on my credit card and pay it off every month. Doing this my credit score has gone up very fast.

Hmm, that's a really good idea! But wouldn't I have to pay the high interest on the payment.
My car payment is $285/month. Would it be much higher?

Silly noob, you only pay interest when the balance is past due.

So I should probably get a rewards card then. Like the Delta Sky Miles?
I was also looking at Blue for Students from American Express.
