<< But I think that Enermaxs are a POS >>

NOS440,

This based on your experience with two? I've used dozens in all configurations. It is a VERY high quality unit and, while it's sad that you had a bad experience, you're full of crap.

It is because of ignorant statements calling a product a POS based on VERY limited experience. Hardware goes bad sometimes, but to condemn an entire product line because you got a couple of lemons, is the definition of stupidity.

Why does that bother you I spent good money thinking I'd bought the last PS I would ever purchase and after shipping it back twice getting confirmation from the Manufacturer that its a known problem they never argued with me about replacing them. I have a 120 dollars between my original purchase price and shipping it back 2 times and I still have a PS THAT IS A PIECE OF SH!T so go away !!!!!! Just because your limited mind can't comprehand that your PS isn't that good you don't need to be slamming me Ahole.

I have had a couple of the 430 watt ps and I would like to say that I was not impressed with them. I don't know if they are all junk but the ones that I had were. I much prefer the antec. They are cheaper and I believe that they provide cleaner power. I am only speaking from my experience with the enermax's I have had 3 of them all rma'd. Something must be wrong with the ones that I am getting but after 3 you have to wonder if the product is really that good. Just my 2 cents on the subject and I am sure I will get flamed from reading the prior posts.
Also if anyone has an antec 403 revision 2.03 I would be willing to trade you even up LMK

Those Antecs might be fine if you live in the States, but my experience from Canada is that it is impossible to get any level of techincal support for them (over the month, I've tried calling their 800 number...doesn't work from Canada, and sent four emails with zero replies). Some CSR from Antec posted a message to me asking me to send him an email, which I did last Thursday and haven't heard anything back. I've had both MBM and Asus Probe go nuts on my reporting the loss of power on +5v, -12v and +12, and going out of spec. I'll wait and report on what happens, but I'm not hopeful.

yeah.. according to the AMD approved list.. antecs outperform (based on how high mhz processors are supported).. enermax.. I was always under the impression that enermax was the best.. hmmm.. makes me wonder.. still, I live in Canada and I'm doubting them based on what Hagbard said.. I have only seen enermax psu's in stores here too.. this being Toronto... (actually I saw em at the computer expo, and they LOOKED sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!).. I'm confused now..

what I meant by the obove..

enermax 350 W 160 W ATX
Athlon 950 Athlon 900 Athlon 850 Athlon 800 Athlon 750 Athlon 700 Athlon 650 Athlon 600

antec PP-303X 300 W 150 W ATX
Athlon 950 Athlon 1000 Athlon 900 Athlon 850 Athlon 800 Athlon 750 Athlon 700 Athlon 650 Athlon 600

so as you can see.. the 350 watt enermax only does up to 950 and the lower power antec (300 vs. 350) does up to 1000..
interesting.
