My system is in my sig. If i got a 2100+tbred b, then i would also get a new mobo. My 384mb of pc2100 would not allow me to raise my fsb very far, so I would have to oc by raising the multiplier. How far do you think I could oc a 2100+ tbred b if i set the fsb to 145 (which i know my ram can do) and then raised the multiplier. This would all be on an Epox-8RDA.
The reason I ask is I want to know if performance wise it would be worth buying better ram (i would probably get the 512mb kingston hyperx pc3000 for $96 shipped), or if raising the multiplier on the 2100+ would be enough. Many people buy fast cpu's (2400+, 2600+, 2700+, 2800+) and dont raise the fsb past the stock 133. So basically i want to know the performance difference between a 2100+@2700+ speeds (overclocked via fsb), and a 2100+@2700+ speeds (overclocked only by multiplier). And i also want to know how far you think i would be able to take my 2100+ tbred b if i only upped the multiplier. Thanks!
