so I spent a few hours here and there over the last 2 weeks splicing all the Scream movies into 1 movie. Some things are subtle, other scenes I swapped so a person who dies is alive and talking 15 minutes later. I only made 2 dead/not dead swaps so maybe they'll just think they missed something lol. But I did mix up a good number of scenes. I haven't gotten the ending worked out yet. I edited him singing I'll Always Love You with the Karaoke track for it. So it sounds pretty damn authentic. Not sure if I'm going to splice in the Bodyguard ending yet or leave it as it. Probably would confuse them way more if they never knew the movie had been hax0r3d up, but I kind of want them to know lol. I got about a week to work on this still.

Chatting with a dude who writes Python scripts for XBMC, my roommate has a ceiling fan/light that's IR remote controlled. XBMC supports home automation for things like this with an addon. And my IR dongle is capable of firing signals. He's going to help me come up with a timer script. He's not sure it'll work exactly like I'm wishing. But the theory is right when super a few really tense moments in the movie pop up the light will turn on for a second then turn off. I'd Have it do this 3 or so times during the movie for added effect. I won't be at home that night so there won't be any suspicion of me in another room being a jackass.

This is gonna be tricky but if it works well it would be that extra touch that helps a prank achieve just a bit more umph.

LOL because his daughter has nothing to do with this prank. I'd rather keep this prank on a level of humorous, and not having him want to kill me. Besides this is the real world not ATOT fantasy world, and it's almost impossible to get a female in a loving relationship to cheat on her man actually.
