I urgently need help!
I have DSL and have 3 computers on my LAN to share the connection. We can share the connection, but can't see each other in Network Neighborhood. So I was trying to figure out why and followed some instruction on a site to give the 3 PC's each a unique IP, 192.168.0.? for each of them. After doing so on the second PC (actually a Laptop), it says it has a conflict with a piece of hardware also has an IP of 192.168.0.2 and the interface is disabled. So I thought, OK, I'll just change it back to what it was before and forget about it. But now, I can't get back in windows at all. It just asks me for login name and password, which I put in, then it just stops, doesn't load the desktop besides playing the starting music. Can't get back in so I can't change the settings back! I tried disconnecting the NIC too, but still can't get back in.
Anyone, please help me! Because this is not my computer. I need to get it working! Please please please. I'm very desparate!
