Here's how things
should have gone (in my humble opinion):
1. Trader gets item
2. Trader doesn't immediately leave "great trader" heatware
3. Trader verifies that item is in acceptable condition.
4. If not, the traders confer via email and PM to attempt resolution.
5. If no resolution can be found, send a PM/email to the trollhunters and/or one of the more esteemed traders on the FS/FT board
6. Find resolution, being willing to take a small hit to make things go smoother.
7. Both traders leave
appropriate heatware. This is one of the most important steps. You need to take the time to give an honest account of everything in the trade. Only by doing that will you maximize the value of the heatware system.
A few things about heatware:
- A negative is NOT the end of the world.
- Obvious retalitory evals can be dealt with and removed
- If you really had a poor experience (or even something you wouldn't want someone else to go through) BE HONEST. Slap them with a neutral or even a positive but give all relevant details: aspects of communication, condition of item(s), packaging method/care, shipping speed, etc.
The vast majority of these disputes can and will be dealt with smoothly and with as little pitchfork-in-the-air witchhunt as possible.
well at least they were both civil about the matter, good job in comming to a resolution guys
I'd agree that neither went buttwacky. Big thumbs up on that account.
