<< Sorry, I just think if you're going to spend 500 or so, you migyht as well spend another 500 and get a bigger screen, a cd rom, and a keyboard...commonly called a laptop.
So why did you have to talk to their support? All the time I've had palm I have never had to deal with customer service.
Maybe I'm just biased, but little windows pc's come and go in the market, or has everyone forgotten?
Palm has been a constant, with very little change. >>
Listen, we don't need this negative comments in here. To each his own, we have already stated the pros and cons of each platform. A Palm is not gonna suit EVERY user and a PocketPC is not gonna suit EVERYONE. That's why there is a such thing as the word "different."
And if I had wanted a laptop, I would have bought one. And since you don't know what I'd be using my device for in the first place, I don't need YOU making decisions for me on what I should and should not buy. My device handles all my needs including surfing the net so I don't need anything else.
And my reasoning for calling Compaq was in reference to my USB connection for my iPAQ. My powered hub wasn't supplying enough power to the device (I have a sh!tload of USB periphials) and the iPAQ wouldn't sync. They told me to plug it in directly to the computer's USB port and all was well.
So if you like Palms, that's fine. But don't drag me into your petty dislike for Compaq or PocketPC devices.
