SHO is a nice car :)
Better sleeper than the Lumina ;)
BTW: Those Crown Vics are ok, but get a nice Caprice with the 5.7L engine.
Exact same engine like the the Corvette, but just a detuned computer.
Probably switch out the chip and go back to 320hp (from 260 )

thedarkwolf is right. Look for a caprice though. Stay away from the Fords, they have problems. Maybe if you are lucky you can find a used cop car. Those would be cheap and very cool. Many are not abused, well not too much anyway), and many used ones for sale were unmarked cars so they don't look like the Blue's Brothers.

Yeah everyone, I'll definitely check out the used cop car route. I can just see me pulling up into the drivway with a retired Caprice...my dad would sh*t! :)

Of course, I'm limited by how much the guys insurance agency is going to lowball me by. Anyone ever dealt with Illinois National?

I've driven a few different Taurus' before (though not an SHO), and they all tend to get rickety over time, and the drivetrain tends to get clunky after a while as well. Even though it may be fast I'd be careful if I were you...

<< Question 1: Are there any good online used-car search engines? >>

no

<< Question 2: I was thinking about looking into repo's and goverment seized cars. Anyone have any Pro's or Con's to this? >>

ehhh...repos and seized cars are terrible. gl trying to find anything decent.

<< Question 3: Any suggestions on a used car would be helpful. My price range is from 6,500 US down. Domestic only please (Ford, Chevy, Mopar). >>

do yourself a favor and buy a 94 or 95 explorer. great cars, good price- you just can't go wrong.
