If its not too late, you can always get some cronut, and umami burger. I second the peter luger.. i tried many other steak places in nyc blt prime, wolfgang, slk, benjamins, quality meats, even peter luger great neck, the PL @ brooklyn one is much better. I love their steak... I almost go once a month.. its always someone's birthday

Oh shit, there's Umami Burger in New York? Definitely want that. I'll see if Luger is doable, I just don't feel like going way out of my way. Thanks for the info.

Aw damn, I wish I would have seen this earlier.

Porter has great package deals for flight and hotel from Toronto to NYC. I'm looking at going with my brother, and we can get a downtown hotel for 2 nights plus 2 flights for $1400.

You could easily do better than that, and the hotels they have packages on are quite nice too.

Are you in Toronto now?

Oh, also, check out Lantern's Keep for a drink. It's a retro bar in the Iroquois hotel near Times Square. Quiet, out of the way, but close.

The guys there all work(ed) in the food industry and knew Thomas Keller etc.

Cool, sounds like a great place. Keller is a magic word! Thanks.

I'm in Toronto right now for the festival, leaving Thursday. YHPM.

KT - I think your timing works out for this

Cronut, meet Shake Shack. Shake Shack, meet cronut. Angelenos headed to Manhattan, take note. NYC's cronut founder Dominique Ansel is teaming up with Danny Meyer's Shake Shack in MSP for a mind-blowing collab on September 17. For one day, Shake Shack will serve a $4.50 concrete made from Butter Caramel frozen custard mixed with cinnamon sugar cronut holes. And a bonus cronut hole on top. Only 1,000 will be sold starting at 10 a.m., with a limit of two per customer. Proceeds go to charity. [ELA]

Reviews of Momofuku is not that favourable on yelp. My work is 2 streets south of Momofuku :p

Momofuku has several "branches" - ssam bar, noodle bar, fried chicken (part of noodle bar), milk bar...

I see fried chicken went up from $100 to $125.

I meant Momofuku Toronto, which is very close to TIFF.

Wow, that sounds amazing. It also sounds like a massive line-up. This film festival has made me very sick of lines.
