Need help flashing my A8V-Deluxe's bios.

ok so i need to flash my a8v to the current bios..i dled the bios off of the asus support site and it's a .AMI file. how the heck do i make it flash to the current bios? I'm lost..

You can either use the program that ASUS boards come with, which is an update utility. Or you can download that .AMI file, stick it onto a floppy disk, but rename the extension to .ROM. Now when you boot up, at the ASUS LOGO Screen, if i recall correctly, you push either F1 or F2. It will read the floppy and everything will do it by itself, nothing else needs to be done, it will just update

Take off all your clothes and put on a trench coat. Quietly sneak up on your PC and then open your trench coat. Make sure it gets an eyeful!! Then run like hell!!

That's the proper way to flash your BIOS!!!

It's in the MB owners manual - if you don't have it, you can download it. Also ASUS for directions. Search here, must be 100's of threads or google it.

i need to flash it for a winnie chip..
