They don't cost this much, the cable you have is probably this one:

The $30 cables are the premium kind, individually sleeved. The $4 cables are for people who just want to play games. :)

YES. $4 makes so much more sense. It's not like the are ugly or anything, either. Still sleeved.

I took the PC case apart and found out what the other cable I need was used for. Something on the Z590 motherboard called PCIe power. I have a picture took of it which the cable is plugged into. You may have to scroll down a bit. Excuse the dust, its cleaner now after a little housekeeping, and making sure I kept grounding myself. Can never be too careful with ESD. So it looks like a need a cable to do it right.
I really wanted to get it working with the new video card, but I have to get that cable before I can do anything and of course Corsair is out of those $4 ones. I did put a request in to get notified when they come in.

Unplug that cable from the motherboard and use it for the GPU. You shouldn't need it.

The RM750 Rx should definitely have come with 2x PCIe GPU cables with 4x connectors total.

If possible, you want to split the load onto two independent cables.
Corsair uses heaver gauge cabling from the PSU side to the first connector, so if you want to use a single cable with the pigtail connector, it would probably be fine. I do this with my 7800XT and have 0 issues.

So that one on Amazon for $29 should work then, and it is an original corsair cable so I should have zero compatibility issues correct? I'll just order it

Dude, you don't need another cable! Try it. Use either method, remove the cable from the motherboard or just use 1 cable. Both methods will work just fine.

Can you just tell me If that corsair cable will work ? Its PN SKU: CP-8920243. Thats all I want to know. Then I'll use the new one for the connection to the motherboard and the older ones to the new GPU.
Since the motherboard connection isn't really needed, it shouldn't be a big deal anyways. Also what Nvidia Game ready driver version should I download and install? Just stable, doesn't have to be bleeding edge.

Why not just use the cables you have and skip the motherboard connection that's not needed anyway?

With the adapter that's in the box for the 4070S, he might even be able to leave it plugged into the board and use it for the GPU power adapter. The ones I've used had 2-3" of additional cable and that might be enough.

OP, the other thing to check at your earliest convenience is that the side of your case can be put on with pinching the GPU power adapter at all. I've ordered right angle adapters where there wasn't clear and easy room for the cable.

I used one of these with the 4070 Ti Super and RM750 - worked great. If you are going to buy a new cable anyway, might as well ditch the adapter too. It's less than $10 :)

Or something like this: https://www.amazon.com/12VHPWR-90-D...X79372/ref=sxin_16_pa_sp_search_thematic_sspa

Don't make a mountain out of a mole hill. Just use the cables you have and the latest GPU driver from NVidia.

Thats just me. I'm taking this all in, otherwise I wouldn't have asked. I like the idea of eliminating that adapter, great idea, and I saw in the comments someone had used it with the same power supply I have. I'm getting that Cooler Master cable.
As far as the GPU driver though some have issues, especially newer ones, just looking for something stable, or what you have and it works.

I really bought it for the right angle-ness of the adapter. The way that plug sticks out bothers me, especially with people who have "issues" with it seeming to also have some contributing factor with cable angle/pressure going on to. The right angle really seems to help take the gravity out of the equation.

As for nvidia drivers, I always show up and grab the latest game ready drivers and roll them until I have problems. I am not a great mind in this area either, and I am the kind of guy on the Radeon front that checks the box that says "download new drivers when available" ;)

The neater nvidia thing might be the (beta?) new control panel. I think that might be worth your time to check out.

I just want a stable driver, thats all. As far as that Cooler Master cable, do I need to plug in all three PCIe 8 pin connectors or just two ? I take it they get plugged into the PSU under PCIe and 4+4 CPU labeled area?
