Bingo. Those are my two favourites. :) I wish I could get the original to recognise my USB joystick. :(

How would you guys compare the NFS series to Project Gotham Racing ? PGR was great, but entirely too frustrating.

FRYs has the NFS collection for $20... :D ...of course it doesn't have the original. :p It goes from NFS2 to NFS: HP2. :)

Sounds like a riceboy's dream game... no thanks.
Graphics were much better in motion than in the pics. I thought the pics looked a little too good, and true, some of the pics you will see are too high of a res anyway to get a good idea of what the game actually looks like. But I was actually impressed with the visuals, through and through. Great sense of speed.

Must be that VTEC-Type-R-NAWZ-Hyundai combination. ;)

not available in the US.

Anyway, I'm happy with what I can get.

The biggest joy to me was using the 97 240SX in Gran Toursimo2 on PS2. I was in awe...the rims on that car inthe video game was the very same rims sitting on my 240SX parked outside my friend's house (wehre I was playing hte game).

Awesome.

What's up with this Mercedes-Benz World Racing? Is it out for PC or not? I just downloaded the demo, but I can't find the game anywhere on EBWorld, buy.com, or Chips & Bits.

I hate to say it, but NFS: HP2 is what the controls reminded me of.

then let it die. PU was great, but HP2 sucked my penis.

Agreed. HP2 was a fuggin' disgrace to the franchise. Porsche Unleashed was awesome but I still have a sweet spot for the original Road & Track Presents: Need for Speed :D

Just out of curiosity, what sucked so much about HP2? I enjoyed it.

I enjoyed it as well. I didn't want to ask why they didn't like it ;). NFS: HP2 had an impressive list of cars, and the racing was challenging yet not impossible.

That's a pissant car list. GT3 destroyed it. Still, it may be a good game and nfS series is generally good (except for when they flirted with arcade physics in either 3 or 4.)
