I am most interested in the motion blur/sense of speed. Very few games have come close to giving me a sense of speed. Dethkarz (yes dumb name, but a fun game...try it) came close.

Couldn't give a rats ass what cars are in it...just want a fun driving game.

The cars better not handle like NFS: HP2... wish they would go back to something like the Porsche Unleashed physics. But hey... there's an RX-7 so i'm all for it. :D
I hate to say it, but NFS: HP2 is what the controls reminded me of.

then let it die. PU was great, but HP2 sucked my penis.

Agreed. HP2 was a fuggin' disgrace to the franchise. Porsche Unleashed was awesome but I still have a sweet spot for the original Road & Track Presents: Need for Speed :D

Just out of curiosity, what sucked so much about HP2? I enjoyed it.
I enjoyed it as well. I didn't want to ask why they didn't like it ;). NFS: HP2 had an impressive list of cars, and the racing was challenging yet not impossible.

The physics/handling model were 4 steps down from Porsche Unleashed. It was like a worthless, cheesy arcade racer.

I know of one game that has realy given me a sense of speed and thats max payne 2, start the game with -developer at the end, find a good place outside, open up console, type jump30 and watch your character jump realy high and fall back down, the falling down part realy gets me :p

Man, why is everyone holding NFS: PU's physics to such a high standard? They were good, but still nowhere close to accurate. I thought they were pretty numb and dumb down, to the point where it was more of an arcade experience. Now, they were much better than the rest of the series, but still not flirting with realism.

I must admit, I never got any hands-on time with Porsche Unleashed.

Mmm .... Rice Tarts - ooops, I mean Pop-Tarts.

more like white-tarts...

i've never seen that many white kids at a street race.

That's not a street race, it's a street rice ;)

And when your town is 98% Cracker, the odds are just stacked as such. :p

Just played the demo for a bit. This game is a ricer's dream. You can't do it in the demo, but it's advertising how you can upgrade licensed parts with everything from neon underbodies to whatever else ricers do to soup up their ride. They mentioned quite a few things under the hood too - but I'm no car junkie.

From the get-go... I felt I was lining up in that Fast and The Furious scene. 350Z all set to go. The gameplay was pretty loose... much less "strict" as in previous NFS'... the audio was great... even makes the NOS sounds when you trigger it.

There was a DRAG mode... which can get pretty intense. The screen shakes as you barrel down the street against four other ricers in a straightaway that requires you to shift at the right time while avoiding cars coming from the sidestreets. One mistake... and you're "TOTALED!"

I think this one will do better than the rice-haters would like... I know I'll be checking out the full version when it becomes available.

Why would you care about how much you upload as long as it's coming to you ? I think mine ended up being 224MB downloaded and 350MB uploaded. It's not like it's costing you anything.
