God yes. On top of that, it was completely mishandled on how it was marketed. I was expecting a German POW camp movie with some action. Instead, you got a civil rights court case movie set in a German POW camp with little to no action.

i for one did not think Gods and Generals was boring at all. I actually didn't want it to end when it did.
i also liked Thin Red Line.

now a movie that seems to take forever and is horrible? Windtalkers. But at only a little over 2 hours, its not. but i got halfway into it the second time i watched it, and was like... damn there's another HOUR left?!

you might find the remake of Dune, and the sequel Children of Dune (both run 4hours a pop) to be boring if you don't like the subject matter and plot. I loved both, but some don't and it would be painful to watch.

Solyaris, in Russian w/ english subtitles. Long and boring, with some kinda mind bending stuff as well. Not a bad movie actually.

I think Das Boot took 5 years off my lifespan, and I only made it through half the movie.

I like the subject matter and still found the miniseries (the first one) boring. I got mild enjoyment out of the second, but not a lot.

I remember there was a Lonesome Dove movie that my mom rented one time. Its like 7 hours long. I can't comment on it being boring or anything as I refused to even try to sit down and watch it.

I beleive a version of that was released on the scifi channel (as a miniseries), Dark Kingdom: The Dragonslayer. And yes it was long and boring. The main character reminded me of the gov. of California.

Get some Hindi Movies: they are almost always 3+ hours long. Anything with subtitles has to kinda boring. 7 5-minute songs can be annoying to those who haven't been watching them in movies all their life.

Lonesome Dove was a mini-series, though. I enjoyed it as a kid, and I never have been a big fan of westerns. The part where the kid gets killed by all the water moccasins during the cattle crossing still gives me the creeps. ;)

2001: A Space Odyssey was insanely slow. Its only about 2 hrs, 20 mins but the opening scene with the monolith and the monkeys drags on forever.
