need advice regarding a credit card NON purchase.

ok, so i purchased round trip airline tickets to korea. or i thought i did anyway, me like a dumbass put the wrong phone number down. apparently this company likes to verify every piece of information.

fine. so i didn't purchase those tickets, they canceled my reservation, if they did, SHOULDN'T they have released my funds?

i thought they should, so i called them, this is what transpired.

1st call.

after waiting 2 hours on hold.

ok, so you guys had problems with this transaction and you cancelled it, then release my funds.

we can't release your funds sir, we don't have them.

i checked my account online and they are definitely not available to me.

:: Hem hedge, probe, talk for 15 minutes.

we can't release them sir, you must call your bank (lie number 1 tho i didn't know it at the time).




i called the bank, nope, the VENDOR has to call us they say.

2nd call

2 hours on hold

Ok, so i talked to the bank and they say YOU have to call them in order to release my funds.

Yes we do, let me give them a call (different story than CSR #1)

Ok (she says) i called the bank and they say they can't release them until midnight tomorrow.

No way, i say, that is NOT acceptable, she hangs up on me.

so i call bank again, the bank says, well if the vendor called the funds would have been released to you already. (now i'm confused)

she says, weird thing is, they NOT only had my original funds pending, they had tried to GET another $1900.00 from my account. (almost the same amount as that pending).

so we try to call them again, after being on hold for 2 hours the line gets disconnected.


so, WTF kind of vendor am i dealing with here?? wtf is going on, why do they think they have a right to $2000.00 of my money?

cant you tell your bank to cancel the payment and block all future charges from that company?

:)

they can block payments, but they can't block the pending, nor can they cancel it without a request from the vendor because i authorized it.

god these guys piss me off. to make matters worse, i'm gonna have to pay much higher prices on these tickets now because the funds won't be available for a couple of days. :(

I would be pissed off too.

Talk to a manager? OR have you already done that. As soon as they answer the phone, tell them you want a manager. Write down the name to whomever you speak with.

RAISE HELL!!

They certainly do!

I am not a very nice person, to say the least! But in a case like that, if they were not near enough to grab by the throat, I would, without a doubt, make someone cry!
