Dare I say, you could just as easily find worse pictures from WWII.

You're a cop. You spot a prisoner out on parole who missed his last few appointments with his parole officer. He has his hands in his pockets. You tell him to turn around and put his hands behind his back. He turns around but doesn't take his hands out of his pockets but instead yells to you that he doesn't have any weapons. You ask twelve more times and still he refuses. Do you A. Just let him go cause you don't want to escalate the situation uneccessarily or B. Draw a weapon with the intent of subduing him?
Onlookers and tweaks would probably be yelling "Police brutality!" and "WTF, man? He was just chilling and you, like, came out of nowhere, man." But that cop, by beating the guy down and making sure he wasn't a threat (whether or not he had a weapon) would have done the right thing for society.

Thanks for letting us know we are the Worlds Police again. Perhaps they should have that in bold type at the top when you enlist so you know what you are getting yourself into. Sadly, my son will never see the light of day again and I have yet to hear one reasonible explanation for exactly what we are doing over there in the first place. His mother and I are comforted to know so many on this board feel his death was justified because we found 1 sarin shell.![]()

They came back later, but Bush started the war before they could wrap up and say there were no WMD's.

No. The UN recalled them because Iraq wasn't cooperating. See? There's a HUGE difference.
Didn't the Dub promise that we wouldn't be the World's Policeman during his last election campaign?Originally posted by: HeroOfPellinor
