Need a deordorant that doesn't flake

Right Guard is crap, so I sent an email to them.

I just purchased a stick of Right Guard Extreme Dry Powerstripe deodorant for $3, and thinking it would be a great product since it has the NBA logo of officalness, I was greatly mistaken.

Simply sitting down on a black chair while moving my arms around makes the deodorant fall from my pits like a December snowfall. I'm not buying again.

Should I just stick to the 'gels', or are there any good 'white' ones? I like the gels but sometimes they dry me up pretty badly (ie. Mitchen).

Get a salt stick. They sell them at natural food stores, and some better supermarkets. You can get a bare crystal which is hard to hold onto, and you drop and break it, or get one that's formed into a stick shape, and sold in a plastic tube(my preference).

Everybody seems to react different to different types of deodorant/antiperspirant . I had right guard and it worked awesome but can't use speedstick cus something in it gives me rashes and really itchy. Try different kinds to see what works best for you.

The only rare times that I've had deodorant flake is when I applied too much. Are you over using it? Also, try applying it before your shower (the night before so it has time to soak in). The shower should take care of any residual flakes.

I stopped wearing deodorant. I do however spray isopropyl alcohol under my pits after I shower using one of those spray bottles and let it dry (3 mins). Works amazingly well and more effective than any deodorant I've ever tried for odor.

It does reduce sweating there but when I do sweat I can't smell anything at all whereas before I could easily (regardless of the type of deodorant I was wearing).

Hmmm. Nothing wrong with my current deodorant (Speed Stick 24/7 Fresh Rush), but this is interesting. I'll give it a shot.

Personally I don't like anything that unnecessarilly fucks with the lymphatic system, so I sick to deodorants.

That's what I like about the salt stick. It has no scent, and it isn't a antiperspirant so it doesn't plug your pores. If you want something with scent, you can put on a little cologne, or other scent of your choice instead of using the commercial industrial scents that smell like Port-a-Pot cleaners :^D

i use the blue axe gel these days. doesn't flake at all, and doesn't stay "wet" feeling like some other gels i've tried. I stop feeling it after 2-3 minutes.

Get a Gel and use very little as a little goes a long way, at least for me.

try clinical protection (degree, gillette, etc, etc). i was hesistant to buy it at first (its like $9) but it works really really well for me.

Gillette gel has worked best for me. Right guard has a crappy smell, and just smells terrible after mixing.

lol. Just picked one up, went most of the day without deodorant for testing purposes, tried it out, this stuff works. Doesn't provide the instant odor kill if you've already worked up a stink (takes a few might minutes, assuming for the salt to kill the bacteria), and you do have to wet it first, but no residual scent and after a few minutes any stink is gone.

Another downside of having to wet it, you put your shirt on too quick it will absorb the salt. While this might be great for eliminating shirt odor, probably lessens the intended effect.

That said, can't complain. I picked up one of these if anyone's interested.

They work best if you use it right out of the shower. Put it on without drying your pits, and it's pretty smooth. They keep me stink free through all but the most drenching sweats, eg. I could wring my clothes out, and support a salt water aquarium :^D
