Nutella is filthy unhealthy. Yes, the fats in nut/peanuts aren't the bad kind, but its quantity is.

Aren't there less hazelnuts in the US version than the European version?

Right now it's just chocolate frosting with hazelnut flavoring to me.

I eat it and know how awful it is. That said I'm going to take my $20 and buy more Nutella.

Class action suits like this make me sick to my stomach. Some lawyer group probably banked 1.5 million....Nutella prices go up, and people are still just as dumb as they always were and likely will take that $20 and go to McDonalds and spend it on a "healthy" grilled chicken sammich with 1500mg of sodium in it.

I hate humanity.

QFT
Last CA suit I was involved in netted me $0.17
I think the stamp cost me $0.22!
Lawyers netted something like $XX Million.

"it's quantity" is the same as peanut butter. Please do not even TRY to argue peanut butter is unhealthy.

Both are equally unhealthy if you eat it by the spoonful multiple times per day, but like all biologically important chemicals, moderation is a must.
Also, actually moving your ass is a must too. Most fail to accomplish much beside a little walking at the workplace (if that) - sometimes that isn't enough, if that's all you get day after day after day. Not if you care to remain remotely healthy when well beyond your prime.

So yes, if you are a fat slob and/or desire to achieve not even an iota of physical exertion throughout much of your life... it's probably not a good idea to eat much more than a serving of the stuff once every few days.
But honestly, those kinds of snacks (provided the amount of carbs are brought down) are better than high-carb snacks - because the slow digestion will help keep you feeling satiated for longer - which is a good thing to have in a snack.

When did they ever market that stuff as healthy?

Lol, it was long promoted that way in Europe.

Hell, I remember seeing billboards in Germany proclaiming milk chocolate bars to be healthy because they contained . . . milk!

I'm not a fan of Nutella. I like the taste but the consistency throws me off. It's like smearing white glue on bread. Just too gooey. I'll stick with the classic peanut butter.

wow, I'm at work and I have a US jar in front of me.

Italian Nutella has the consistency of honey or condensed milk
American Nutella has the consistency of chunky peanut butter

WTF

I'm guessing the next lawsuits will be against Pop Tarts and Fruity Pebbles.
