The solution is clear...
key logger on her computer and packet sniffer activation in the router 😛
No, get rid of the internet and all wireless devices and nuke them from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

If they have all the tv shows in one place, instead of the current system of a gazillion services and gadgets, people would pay 15 to 20 bucks a month for it. Piracy would be greatly reduced. It is not all about people wanting to get stuff for free
I questioned her closely on this, and she was adamant that she had never watched Workaholics other than on Amazon Prime via the Roku. Looking at the filename that Comcast claims was infringed...

... it seems to be the season and episode that she claims she was watching last night, around the time of the infringement, on her Roku. I have no experience with downloading movies via torrent... does that look like the sort of file that would be found on one?
It looks to me like it could also be the sort of filename that would show up in a resource URL from a Roku box. I don't know. On the one hand I really did feel like she wasn't bs'ing me, and on the other I am inclined toward the occam's razor conclusion of: she did it.
The allegation came from antipiracy2@dtecnet.com. Anyone ever hear of them, or see something like this before that turned out not to be legit?
Are you quite certain that the notification came from Comcast, rather than being a phishing attempt? It's easy to see, even from a standard BitTorrent client, which ISP a torrenting peer is on. It would make for an easy target for fake notifications. One other possibility: She may have tried downloading the torrent, gotten impatient while waiting (but left it downloading), then went to Amazon Prime and watched it there. In any case, don't worry about it too much. Comcast doesn't care. They just send out the notifications to appease whoever reports a supposed violation.
buuuullshit - tons of people pirate dollar apps. FFS people pirate shit because they don't want to give up their email.

She's at that age where she can blow $300/week on "stuff" and never find $100 to make an insurance payment.
It does appear to be legit. Yeah I am not tremendously worried about it at this point. My kids know where I stand on this shit, and they also know I don't have time or inclination to monitor what they do. If they do stuff that brings me trouble then that trouble is rolling downhill. I can do a pretty effective job of blocking crap when I want to. I just find that to be a rat race and I'd rather not have to contemplate it. I'd rather just restrict them all to LAN for a week the next time I get an email like this 🙂.
Sig'd?Keen surveillance is better than beating everything with a big stick.
But amazed the Rinaun story of getting 50+ notices and no further action taken by them.
There is a conflict of interest here. The internet company is the same as cable company. So they have a big incentive to go after piracy, even though as an ISP, they have no business doing soWhy? Comcast is not the copyright holder, so they're not going to take any action beyond booting the user. But they probably get tens of thousands of these things every day, so why would they? They know they're not liable.
So, this is an allegation, and what do they want you to do about it ?This morning I received an email from Comcast titled "Notice of P2P Infringement Allegation."

Gigapix Studios produce the show Workaholics and a search of them brings up this news article 😀It's not Comcast I would worry about - but the company who sent the notice to Comcast
Though it does seem like the copyright trolls probably make good money just from people worried that something may happen and settle out of court so they never have to actually go to trial.

Is this the 3/6/12 strike "deal" they have with the ISP ?
Too slow dude, I already found them. She's a looker, this guy must have great genes 😀
what man you said we could take the challenge! Although I got more sidetracked with his great nature and travel photos... It's not like you don't give all the info on here anyway ;p
Don't worry I wont post anything though, I'm not THAT lame, just a little bit lame. Don't ban me bro
